Alrighty.... I am done with my IELTS and hope to get the results by 25th of October. By then, I need to get the conditional offer-letter and open up the GIC account (I am applying under SPP for Jan'14 intake).

Question-
1. How do I open the GIC account and how much time will it take?
2. Below is my time estimation. Do you think its the right one?
a. Get the admission and GIC done by 25th October
b. Once I receive my IELTS results, collate all the documents (conditional offer letter with receipt of fee payment, GIC, 10th, 12th and graduation documents) and apply for my visa by 28th, October.

Do you guys find anything that I should be doing earlier or later or am I missing something. If yes, please suggest.

in order to open gic u need offer either conditional or unconditional
then you need to fill a form and send to scotiabank email id
you can find all the instructions in gic form
a. Get the admission and GIC done by 25th October
gic account will take 5-7 working days to open an account and then again 3-5 days after you had sent you gic fee
Once I receive my IELTS results, collate all the documents (conditional offer letter with receipt of fee payment, GIC, 10th, 12th and graduation documents) and apply for my visa by 28th, October.
i will suggest you to apply for visa with unconditional offer letter as there is much time for jan intake(if you are from india)

once again if you are indian then go for pre medical examination.

Yes.. apply for a VISA with your unconditional letter only..

After u have given them ur IELTS score, fees, etc..
They will give you a LOA, u submit that to Visa Office..

Get your medical done first.. check who is designated to do so in ur city..
they directly upload the results to the Visa Office..

Also work on ur GIC till then.. the whole thing will take 10-15 days so prepare all that simultnsly..
