I am trying to send an email to the immigration but it doesn't go through... right after sending the email, I get an automated message saying that this email address does not accept receiving emails... these are the following email addresses I try to use to contact the Bucharest Immigration department.....mmigration@international.gc.ca ...BUCSTIMMIGRATION@international.gc.ca...... any advise please.... I have a deadline.... I don't know what to do... Thanks so much.

We had trouble emailing the Sydney office as every message was rejected. It seems it had something to do with the message content we were replying to.

I removed all of the attachments that were included by replying to their original message (icons etc), set the e-mail to plaintext (instead of HTML) and resent it and it finally went through.

Hopefully this works for you too.

Dear mrmoose, can you please tell me what you mean by changing the text to plaintext instead of HTML? I also removed the attachment and it worked but I know to send it with the attachments. Thanks again guys for your help.

I use Gmail, and there is an option in there to remove formatting. Basically, it just sets all the text to look very plain (ie. No bold or underlined text and no embedded images).

If you have attachments of your own to send, just try keeping them to a minimum and try to ensure they are all standard file types like jpg and pdf. The reason I say that is it may well be that the mail server has a blanket rule to delete emails containing attachments they consider to be dangerous, or text containing potentially dangerous links.

I hope that makes sense.

Here is another link showing how to achieve this via Gmail.

If you just Google "convert HTML email to plaintext using (whatever mail client you use)", you'll certainly get some ideas on how to remove the html formatting from your reply.

Try sending an email to them using a different email address account if it will go through. If it does, then your account has been blocked so you can't send an email to them. I've read that sometimes they block off applicants who send too many emails.

Or try sending an email using a different device. Do you have problems sending emails to other people too?
