The embassy didn't get back to me

Hello everyone my name is khalid I'm from Morocco

My wife and I submitted my sponsorship application 6 months ago and I've been contacted by the Canadian embassy here in Morocco few times I've done my medical tests and also done my biometrics 2 months ago

Since that time ( 2 months ago) I haven't heard back from them at all and we're very stressed because of this especially after I searched and found out that there's some people who's been waiting for over than a year { which is against the law that says all the process should never be more than one year })

My questions are

Is there anything I can do in case it takes over 1 year ( since I applied till the end of the year )?

Is there anyone who went through the same issue ( please tell me about your rxpexperie?

What's stopping them from contacting people who went through all the steps ( the medical tests and the biometrics)[ I've Neve been in trouble with the law and I'm healthy alhamdulillah] ?

The fact that I've done the medical tests and the biometrics ( I've been contacted by the embassy to do each one of them ) is it a good sign or it's just normal and they can say no after that ?

There is no law that says applications have to be completed within a year.

Yes, it's normal for an application to take longer than a year. You have only been waiting for 6 months, you aren't even close to a year. Why are you getting worried?

I have been waiting for interview date since 09/2018 until now ( applied May 2018). You can't really do much,except waiting. Also,if it is over 12 months processing time you can contact your MP about status, but they can't speed up your application.

Firstly, there is no such thing as a law saying it is illegal for the process to take over a year. 12 months is a target processing time for the majority of applications, but not all. It is a target, not a promise.

Secondly, you only applied 6 months ago. You need to be patient.

Think you will find that many of the sponsorships from Morocco go over the 1 year estimated time.

Visa is a privilege not a right and NO there is no law stating processing must not exceed 12 months.
