It tends to be extremely difficult to find employers since the process of hiring a foreign worker is so long and expensive. However some people are successful - it helps if you have very specialized or rare skills and experiences. Reputable job sites include: indeed, the Canadian Job Bank, workopolis, linkedin, and monster.

I have tried those but I figured like you said I would need to have a rare skill.
I worked and have been working as Accounting officer for over 9 years.

Thanks for responding

Unfortunately that will work against you. If you are in fact serious about migrating to Canada, you should look into obtaining a recognized accounting designation.

Finding a job while in Canada is not easy even when authorized to work, and close to impossible if you are not. There are many reasons for this. Because of the large influx of qualified immigrants, Canadian employers tend to over extend their search, looking for the most qualified candidate that will allow them to offer the worst deal. They are very exaggerated about the best return, and in many cases they are borderline quite blunt about it. I have seen job postings that after lasting 3 months, reappear 2 months later as they didn't find the most suitable candidate. I have also seen postings looking for candidates to fulfill a low-paying, seemingly low-responsibility position while hinting "managerial capacity" in their requests but if you have been a manager, they will flat out reject you. They quickly reject anyone who's been out of work for 1 yr or more. Moreover, many requirement-loaded job postings, those that almost no one will be able to fulfill, and more so when coming from head hunting companies, are specifically created to actually not find anyone qualified, just to support a work permit for someone that is not authorized to work in Canada. Many employers also insist in the importance of "Canadian experience" which in many cases is just an excuse to find someone willing to accept less money (US experienced candidates are quickly dropped, which is ridiculous as they actually have a lot to offer). Reality is that if you don't have a really good "contact" (family member or friend in a position of power in a local company) your chances of being offered a job in Canada while abroad are pretty slim, unless you have worked for NASA to just become an analyst who is required to perform in the capacity of a project manager. And forget about getting an opportunity to be hired as a Manager unless you have already been a manager for no less or more than exactly the amount of time they are looking for, as no employer will give you the time of day or accept that you will indeed be happy working for them for less money or in a demoting position.
