How do they ever plan to reach this with the current ITAs in Express Entry ?!?!

300,000 is not the number for Express entry alone. It is the combined total for Family class, Refugees, Provincial nominees, Business/Investor, Express entry and pre-2015 backlog PR applications.

Wrong. the majority of immigrants are still economic class, and has been for many years. Family has little change since last year. most of the planned increase are from humanitarian/refugees.

Business and investor are very small numbers.
EE should still be the bulk!
At least when the pre 2015 stock is cleared...

Also in addition to said above, the number includes visas for family members, not just 300.000 main applicants. So the number of approved applications (of all types) will be much lower.

We actually have less quota for Economic and Express Entry.

Between 150K to 162K visas expected to be issued to economic applications in 2016.

So each draw should be 5000+, that is once they clear the pre 2015 applications...

Applicants have families/dependants too you know, and they are included in this number. So 5000 ITA is not the same as 5000 applicants.
