Hi everyone - I am confused regarding CIC announcement in multiple years using the previous year application pool. "Starting May 21, 2024, we randomly invited potential sponsors who submitted an interest to sponsor form in 2020 to apply for the 2024 intake."
I have submitted the INTENT APPLICATION for parent PR sponsorship on the CIC portal in 2018, the first round it opened and have my confirmation number. When I recalled when I try to submit my intent application again on 2020, the website indicates that we can only apply once (which I applied in 2018), so I trusted that my intent was still on file for the 2020 pool. I also checked the reference number online in Feb 2021 after the announcement and received the letter informing that I was not selected to apply.
Could someone help clarify if the CIC uses 2018 for the 2020 pool selection, thus carried forward to progress in their 2024 May selection?
I may have lost the opportunity to be in the 2020 pool if that was not the case.... :'(
