Hi @legalfalcon,

I submitted my declaration in PR Portal on May 28, 2021, and still waiting for eCOPR. The original mail which I received is from VLU, OSC Ottawa. I saw a lot of people waiting to hear from this unit.
My question - Is there any way we can escalate this delay to IRCC as everything approved and this portal induction is really killing.
You cannot expedite the process, but if 3-5 weeks have passed, then you can reach out by sending a webform or calling IRCC.

@legalfalcon Thank you for your response. Shall I reach out to the panel physician to confirm they have submitted my medical reports to IRCC? Because it's been more than 7 months now post AOR.
You can ask them , but IRCC is facing a backlog of medical reports that are yet to be evaluated. Also, in some cases even if the meds are evaluated, and the report sent, it may not have been updated in your file. But asking the panel physician when the report was sent will provide you with a time frame of how long it has been with IRCC for.

Hello Sir ,

I have claimed 50 points for job offer but my company is not providing any additional documents or new offer letter , i have got letter from my manager with all the details but its not on the company letter head , would it work ? or should i remove 50 points from my profile and wait for another ita ?

Thanks

If you have claimed 50 points, then one of the conditions was that the offer letter should have is that the offer would be "for at least one year after [IRCC] issue(s) your permanent resident visa."

If you do not have this you can show it by having a WP that if sent for renewal or other correspondence that you have from employer which can help you meet the above.

Hello @legalfalcon
I have few queries about TRV. Presently I am in Canada on BOWP and waiting for my COPR. My father expired in India last month, now my mom is alone there and there is no one to take care of her. So my question is
1. Can I apply for Tourist visa for my mother from inside Canada when she is India
2. Is there any way I can request IRCC to expedite the process due to given situation as processing time for TRV from Inside Canada is 198 days and from India its showing 282 days.
3. If I get my PR in the mean time will it effect my mothers TRV application
Seeking your help and thanking you in advance for your support

Sorry to hear about your loss.

1. You can electronically file the application from anywhere, but it will be processed in India, where the applicant is.

2. You can request, but IRCC rarely approves them given the volume they handle. You can request an authorisation to travel along with your application based on immediate family member.

3. No, it has no bearing on your paren't application. Once you become a PR, you can then file for a super visa for you parents and grandparents.

Hi @legalfalcon

If I land in Canada as a PR, secure a job, and say the job is remote based, so if I need to go back to my own country, do you think I can do the job for some months staying in my home country too? Or I need to be strictly present in Canada to do the remote job too? Actually, I am talking in terms of general overviews. So, according to your views and experience what is your say in this? thanks

You can do a job form anywhere as long as the job does not need you to be physically present. It has nothing to do with your PR status.

Good afternoon @legalfalcon Does working with a Canadian NGO as a volunteer(they'd provide a monthly allocation) abroad count towards days present in Canada to be eligible for citizenship?I have PR and currently reside in Canada

Dear @legalfalcon, can you please suggest if the wrong return date on travel history would lead to misrepresentation? Like accidentally writing return date for one of the trips for PR application:

2019.03.15 instead 2019.02.15

Will IRCC gonna just send adr for uploading a new travel history form in this case or charge with misrepresentation?

thanks you a lot!

To count time towards physical presence in Canada, you have to be a crown servant.

see https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/corporate/publications-manuals/operational-bulletins-manuals/canadian-citizenship/grant/residence/calculate-physical-presence.html

Such minor issues are not misrepresentation. However, if you have discovered an error, you should inform IRCC and get it corrected.

Hi @legalfalcon, asking for my friend.

My friend, her profile is already in process (IRCC is working on her eligibility now).

But, out of curiosity, she did create another express entry profile (in another GC key account) by her name, putting all her details, she just wanted to check.

However, accidentally she did submit that profile and she came to know once it got submitted. She withdrew that profile immediately.

But, now she is scared that, this dummy profile should not cause any trouble to her existing, ongoing profile.
Now, Her dummy profile shows, “Transmitted” in red text and with a lock icon.

What’s your thought on this? Is it going to problematic for her?

Thank you always

It is of no consequence.

@legalfalcon Dear legalfaclon, I hope you are doing well.

I have a question about cancelling a withdrawal request for permanent residency application. My friend has received his AOR in July 2020. He requested a withdrawal through webform (without the signed letter). He received a reply that says a signed letter is needed to withdraw. But then he decided not to proceed with the withdrawal and subsequently he sent a signed letter (as told by IRCC agent) to cancel his withdrawal request along with some additional documents to explain the reason. 2 months later he called IRCC and was told that eligibility is passed and criminal check has started. since then he has not received any news about it and his online portal shows the application is still in process

The question is, can he safely assume that his cancellation of withdrawal has been accepted and IRCC has decided to continue to process his application? or he will need to wait until the final stage before a decision is made?

Thank you so much for your time and your valuable opinion.

If you never sent the signed letter to withdraw your application, then the application was never withdrawn.
