I have already answered this before. Read the responses. Asking the same question over the over will not lead to a different answer.
Brother i knew you have answer my query

But i am confuse with below sentence that's why I am asking you.

1. There is no ongoing requirement to live in Manitoba.

2. It would not, as long as your cousin is compliant with the requirements of the sponsor.

What does that mean of your above sentence.

Please reply me.

Thanks

Good day @legalfalcon
I want to gain this opportunity to thank you for all your help and support you are giving us in this forum.

I have some questions regarding the signatures...

-1- On my passport which I have used to apply for PR, there is a signature of me and I used this signature to sign the Schedule A and the travel history that they told me to submit. Also I used that signature on my medicals and when I was signing the consents for requesting GCMS notes. Shall I stick to that signature while I am in Canada for the rest of the life, or when I am there, I can change it for something else and use a different signature?

-2- Is there a place on the PR card for my signature?

-3- Is there a legal procedure to start using a different signature?

Thanks a lot!

1. You can change your signature, it is no big deal as long as you make sure you change it on your official documents. For your current application, use the same signatures. When you move to Canada and open a bank account, you can use new signatures as long as you continue to use to in the future.

2. PR card has signature, that you provide in the hologram, i.e. the pic on the right. It looks like this:

To change the signature, you will have to provide a request to renew your PR card, or a new passport with your updated signature if your application is in progress.

3. There is no legal procedure, unlike for change of name, you will have to change your signature with all institutions you use your signature to authenticate your identity, such as banks and driver's license.

The sponsor does not have to continue to live in Manitoba, as long as they meet the sponsorship obligation.

Hi @legalfalcon,
We received an ITR (FSW) in December and submitted a PR application a few weeks ago.

I am currently a US citizen and my wife is a US green card holder + citizen of country X (in eastern europe, one which does not recognize dual citizenship). My wife is in the process of obtaining US citizenship, likely to happen in the next 3-4 months. When she does, she will have to renounce her current citizenship in favor of US citizenship and obtain a US passport.

If our Canadian PR application is approved before she obtains US citizenship, what do we need to do?
If she obtains US citizenship while our canadian PR application is still in progress, what do we need to do?

Thank you.

If your spouse's citizenship changes, i.e. is the US citizenship is granted, you will have to Inform IRCC if the application is in progress. You will also have to submit the scan of US passport / proof of citizenship via webform.

IF the application is approved, and you become a Canadian PR, there is no need to inform as the application is closed.

Hello @legalfalcon .
If I have a COPR and I haven't landed yet in Canada, can I apply for a SIN from overseas?

Best Regards,

Just by having a COPR you do not become a PR. You have to land and be admitted, unless you applied as an inland applicant and you were issued a signed and stamped COPR, then effective as on the date of your cOPR, you become a PR.

You will have to provide a copy of the signed and stamped COPR to apply for SIN.

See https://www.canada.ca/en/employment-social-development/services/sin/before-applying.html

Thank you very much, @legalfalcon . If the PR application is approved and then her citizenship changes, will there be no problem 'landing' in Canada on a different (i.e US) passport than the one she applied with? Similarly, receiving the PR card without letting them know her citizenship has changed? I only ask because our biometric appointment letter had this little section :

"You must use the same travel document throughout the application process, including when you go to a biometric collection service point to give your biometrics. You must also use the same travel document upon arrival in Canada."

Thank you!

There will be no problem, only that you will have to inform IRCC and send your US passport for your spouse if the citizenship change while the application is in progress. Since US citizens are visa exempt, you can then travel with only a COPR, without having to submit the passport for PR visa.

If you land and in Canada and then the citizenship is granted, then you do not have to inform as the application is closed.

Hello @legalfalcon ,

Hope you are doing well.
I was trying to find correct info about my query but fail to get any concrete answer. It would be really helpful if you can give some insight about the following:

My COPR is expiring on 31st May 2021 (issued in Dec 20). I got an email from IRCC that I cannot enter Canada at a moment.

However, I tried the IRCC Canada entry questionnaire as follows:
3-Which best describes you or your reason for entry into Canada? (required)
Work activities or employment reasons
4-Which best describes the nature of your work in Canada?
Technician or specialist (supporting critical infrastructure)
and the result was: likely be allowed.

Just wanted to confirm that if I get a job offer letter, can I enter Canada (My current organization is planning to shift me to their Canada branch)?
If yes, then do I need to inform IRCC about it to get an AL or is it not necessary? if yes, then through Webform or an email?

Please advise.

No, it will not. The PA should not have the intention to reside in QC.
