@legalfalcon

Hello,
I was wondering if you know what this means. I applied for cbsa notes and got them recently. In the officer notes it says level 2 completed with security and pc as outstanding items. Then the latest note says only outstanding item security in progress. In the security section it says security screening type: Record check, priority normal, SII indicators: No. Do you know what the SII, and record check mean? Also, it seems security has been started since 30.jan.2019. Is it normal average for this type of check? But elgibility remains not started while criminality and security inprogress even though all pcc are submitted a long while ago.
Thanks a-lot for your help!
P.s its a protected person pr application received may 2018.
Can you please help @legalfalcon

Dear legalfalcon,
Thank you in advance for all your time responding to our questions. I have a question. We are applying for PR. In 2011, my spouse was in Australia and transferred his car to another person and after that he came back immediately to our country. But now I came to know that the person didn't transfer the car to his name, and so he had several tickets like overspeeding for 10km/hour and late toll fee under my spouse's name. In short, my spouse has about 3 unpaid fines under his name. Will this affect our PR application? Considering that this traffic offences never came up in his PCC or traffic history report (because under Australian law, my spouse was able to use an international driving license so he doesn't have an Australian driver license, hence he wasnt provided with a traffic history report, instead he was issued with a certificate of no history report and not holding driver's license). In short, he doesn't have a criminal record nor traffic history. The only way to find out is to contact with the Fines authority in Victoria. I wonder if IRCC have access to that, and if so, will it be considered a criminal? Even the fact that my spouse wasn't driving the vehicle during the violation (his exit stamp on passport can prove). Thank you so much and looking forward to your reply. I am concerned as the criminality has been pending for quite some time. I ordered GCMS note from getgcms 2 weeks ago and am waiiting for it.

Dear @legalfalcon,

I have done medicals upfront on 21st August and I'll be submitting e-APR in few days, had to wait for documents including PCC. Is it going to be any problem as I did medicals 1.5 months ago? Also my bank letters dated around same time, which is 1.5 months from now. I hope this is not going to cause any problem like request for a new medicals or bank letters?

Thanks!

Dear @legalfalcon

I received Passport request on Oct 3, 2019. My medical expires in Dec 2019. My spouse medical will expire on July 2020. My question is:

"If we submit our passports, how much time we will get to land into canada?"

I am concerned about the time we will get for landing preparation and planning. I expect atleast 6 months.

Request you to kindly share your views on this please. Many thanks.

Hi @legalfalcon

Need some help here please.

I want to schedule a Biometrics Enrollment appointment at Mumbai VAC but every time I go to VFS Global's website and attempt to schedule an appointment for the same, the calendar doesn't seem to work. That is, it won't show available dates and on selecting any date, it doesn't show the time slot selection. Every time I click next, it shows an error that a date and time slot must be selected.

I tried different browsers (Chrome, Firefox, Edge). I tried different centres (Mumbai and Delhi). I tried calling on one of the two numbers they provide as help lines and after hearing 5 minutes of tape all it said was that they are closed today (being a Sunday). I would expect their website to be able to process an appointment though.

Looking forward for experienced members to enlighten me here or if somebody can quickly try at their end to see if they are able to get past the calendar page on scheduling an appointment - that would be really appreciated.

Dear @legalfalcon
Got my PPR on 03 October and I'm yet to submit my passport for stamping. My spouses medical expire on 02 Dec and mine will expire on 20 Dec.

Does that mean i have to do a soft landing before 02 Dec as I'm unable to move permanently on such short notice.

I don't know whether they have extended our medicals or not. I didn't get a re-medical option also. From where can I check it?

Is there any option available to extend the medical deadline so that we can move later without rushing to .

PS. Sorry for bombarding you with lot of questions and your help will be greatly appreciated.

It will be a discretion with the officer. You have to land before your PR visa expires. The duration of the PR visa usually does not exceed that of the medicals of passport. However, the officer can issue a PR of a longer duration (max of 6 months) only of your meds are expiring and not the PP.

The biometrics will be over booked as there are many people. So you will not get an immediate appointment. Also, if you call on Sunday expecting someone to respond, that won't work either.

I generated checklist but, my son’s digital photo is not asked in checklist, any idea why?
The digital photos of dependent children is required. So most likely it is a glitch.

No problem at all.

The medicals are valid for 1 year and the bank documents can be for the last 3 months.
