Thank you @legalfalcon I am planning to do a soft landing before the CoPR expires and then come back. If i want to go back, i know that i need the PR card, which is taking more than 2 months to receive. If i want to go back immediately to join a job, then is it safe to apply for the PRTD? I read that it depends on the embassy and they can sometimes refuse as well? Does it mean they refuse only the PRTD request or does it affect my PR status as well?
You can request PRTD. If your application is complete your PRTD cannot be refused.

Hi @legalfalcon I'll be doing my first landing in Canada in a couple of months. For the proof of funds, do I need to show the same account bank statement that I submitted with my EE application? That statement was in Rupee currency and now I want to transfer all that money in the dollar account in my country before landing. Should I take the bank statement for the dollar account with me? Please help!
You can show any account as long as you meet the PoF. It can also be a combination of cash, your account statement etc.

Do you see any notes in the last 3-7 pages of the GCMS notes?
Hello again & thanks for the reply @legalfalcon ,
Yes. The eligibility note says "agent review A11.2 review required." But that was back in August 2017 in CIO before they sent it to Paris VO (which I know is slow, but 15 months for eligibility?). All the newer notes are regarding the emails I sent and CSE etc...

I ordered four sets of notes so far, first three are the same, with zero updates. The last set however was updated because my medicals got extended. And the line "review required" was removed I don't know why. The note I mentioned above now just says "Agent review A11.2 [BLANK]."

@legalfalcon
My AOR date is August 4, 2017.
According to GCMS notes, my eligibility was finally passed at London Visa Office on Nov 8, 2017. No reviews required at any stage. Criminality and Info sharing were done within two weeks of AOR. Today, I contacted Mr. Ralph Goodale, MP. He told me that security checks were initiated on February 22, 2018. Kindly tell me how is it possible that security was started 3 and a half months after the eligibility was passed? Whereas, LVO replied to my status enquiry on February 1, 2018 that my application was undergoing background verification checks.

Calculating work experience for FSW

Work experience can be calculated by:

  • adding up the number of continuous weeks of full-time (or equivalent in part-time) paid work (i.e., 30 hours/37.5 hours per week in one full-time job, a combined total of at least 30 hours/37.5 hours per week in more than one part-time job,
  • 15 hours per week in one part-time job over a period of two years, etc) in one or more skilled occupations at Skill Type 0 (Managerial occupations), Skill Level A (Professional occupations) or B (Technical occupations and skilled trades) of NOC 2011.
Note: Work in excess of 30 hours/37.5 hours of paid work over a period of one week cannot compensate for less than one year of full-time work experience.
Hi @legalfalcon

Thanks for the reply. I worked part time for the last 1 month and rest all months i worked full time for the same company. I am creating my profile in EE now. Should i add one entry and explain about my part time in LOE or should i create two entries for the same company one for full time and one for part time? Appreciate your help.

No I did not, should I ?
You only need CBSA and CSIS notes if you want to know when your security started and if CSIS and CBSA have completed its involvement. Or else you can wait it out.

Then the note has been retracted. Do you see any s15 / 16 or other section mentioned on the top right corner of that page.

Sending the file for security and the security actually being in progress are two different things. So the above scenario can happen. The files are sent to CBSA and CSIS. First the CSIS will review and make a recommendation and send it to CBSA. Then CBSA will make a complete report and send it to IRCC.

If you want to know the detail as to when your security started and when it was sent to CBSA, you will need CBSA notes.

If your reference letter has both the full time and part time entries, you can just create one entry and explain it in LoE. If you have seperate reference letters, then making two entries will be better.

Overall it won't matter much, however, you should do what best suits your needs and is easier.

Thank you for your valuable advice, but i have tried that already, no matter what i did i couldn't reduce the file size any lower than 5.5 mb, when i try further reducing it the quality is compromised so badly that it is unreadable.
The size of these documents are high because its very common for people to use their smartphone or the DSLR they have to scan documents.

This eventually captures more pixels than required making the file size to be large, here's what i suggest instead,

If you have a scanner accessible . - when you scan go into the settings and you can change the DPI/ PPI settings lower it to about 190-225 range.
this would be a good quality scan and you can then make a PDF out of it.

If you don't have a scanner a nearby Staples, or a computer store in the area you live should have and they know these settings very well.

When scanning always use a scanner if you have size constraints in place. Hope this helps.
