My wife is applying for her PR, and am curious if her house book is needed. She has her Id, passport, and all certificates already, but her house book says she is in a different city (and provence all together), and not where we actually live. I hope this does not become an issue. She was added to her house book when she was a little girl, and has never been changed since, so it is very out of date, but still valid.

Also. We have her secondary school papers, and college diplomas. Do we need to include these too? I don't see anywhere in the instructions saying they are needed, but I don't see anything that says they are not either. It comes down to cost for translation and notary, so if we can get away without having them done, that will be a huge plus for us. (translation and notary costs in our city costs over $100 CDN for EACH A4 sized page.

I think the diplomas are needed only for dependant children - did you check the visa office specific checklist?

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/pdf/kits/guides/E33057.PDF

It does state:

IDENTITY AND CIVIL STATUS DOCUMENTS
•Birth, marriage, divorce / separation certificates for yourself and spouse or common-law partner; death certificate for former spouse if applicable
Notarized copy of household registration (if applicable)
•Others (please indicate)

not sure what (if applicable) means ...

Man, the Singapore office sucks
So glad that my Thai wife is student in China 8)
