Temporary Worker Permit Extension

Hi,

I got asked a question and would like some feedback. A gentleman on the Seasonal Agricultural Program (on a visa and work permit to one employer) is scheduled to go home in July. He would like to remain here in Canada. So...the question is this....can he apply for a visitor visa while in Canada......seek employment....and then apply for an open work permit?

Based on the information you have provided, he doesn't qualify for an open work permit.
