Temporary Work Permit Applications at CHC - New York

Hi guys,

Can anybody please share your work permit application timelines at CHC New York? Just want to know how long they process TWP applications to date.

We sent our applications on July 12 thru Fedex, the embassy received it July 13. No news yet 'til now.

Please share your experience. Highly appreciated.

Just want to know if you receive your visa? Student visa & work permit applications have same processing time. There's a guy from other thread he applied student permit in NYC thru mail on June 14, 2 working days ahead of you so I guess yours is next.

Any updates?

May I know what will be your work in Canada? Is it your first time to apply work permit?

Yeah, me too! Everyday I always check my fedex return airway bill if the embassy sends back my docs. I hope you get it next week

Did you use Fedex airway bill to return your docs and passport? I donno if the embassy allowed Fedex coz I enclosed money order for Fedex to return my passport but they emailed me that their not gonna use it, instead they will use USPS regular mail I guess.

I am also waiting for a work permit. My materials arrived there on July 3. I've been told to just wait, but it's driving me crazy. I've e-mailed them, and they did e-mail me back a few days ago, asking for me to send them the receipt for my medical exam. I did, but it was like throwing it into a black hole.

I've been told it can take 2 months. Any advice on what to do? Does it help to send them e-mails? Would it be quicker if I went to New York to follow up in person?
