I am a resident of India and I have an intent to visit Canada from Dec 8-14th for a conference. I have furnished the following documents -
  1. Financial support from my father and proof of relationship.
  2. Bank statements of 6 months.
  3. Employment letter and endorsement letter from my institution where I currently work as a research assistant.
  4. Business registration details (GST registration certificate and Partnership deeds)
  5. Invitation letter from conference organisers.
But still my visa got rejected twice indicating reasons -

I am not satisfied that you will leave Canada at the end of your stay as a temporary resident, as stipulated in paragraph 179(b) of the IRPR, based on the purpose of your visit.

I am not satisfied that you have a legitimate business purpose in Canada.

Im not sure what Im doing wrong... is there any other information I should provide? Any insights is really appreciated!

Thanks!

Better get the GCMS notes, from there you'll see the visa officer's reason why your application was refuse.
You said you were rejected twice, did you get the same reasons for refusal?
On your first refusal, did you address the reasons why you were refused before you applied again? Or you just submitted the same documents as before?

Yes I got the same reasons as before.

And Yes I had submitted extra documents like for example in the first time, I hadn't submitted my employment letter and business registration details. This time I also included a client information letter, outlining that I will be attending a conference as supported by the invitation letter from the organisers. GCMS notes will take at least 30 days I think for processing, Im not sure I will be able to apply in time for the conference and get my VISA :(

Why is your father providing financial support. Can you not provide your own financial support? Usually your business or school pays to attend the conference or the conference pays for your expenses if you are presenting at the conference.

Did you even attach a Letter of Explanation, indicating the importance of this conference? How long did you plan to stay in Canada?
A bit confusing that you are a business owner yet you attached a financial support from your father.

The business I own is a startup, I only provided it as a proof that I have strong ties to my country and will come back after attending the conference. Also Im not a student at my university, I am a student research assistant, my university is only providing my conference registration fees, I would have to make my own arrangements for travel and stay. So I decided it would be better to get a financial support letter from my father, I have provided his and mine bank statements plus Income tax return files.

That is likely the issue. Without your own funds there are concerns about your ability to support your travel and the potential you may not return. It is very common for young adults or post secondary students to be refused until they have their own funds, property or families. Have you included information from your school that they are paying your registration costs? That may help a bit but sense you may be in for a struggle. Would include your bank account and information about why you need to attend the conference but don’t buy a plane ticket.

I get some decent amount of stipend for working as a research assistant.. I have obtained a letter of financial support from my dad I have attached my bank statements and also my dads which show lot of transactions. As for the registration, the invitation letter from the conference is only generated after I register, so it’s an indication that my registration is already done...

I have also attached a letter of explanation stating I’m only coming to Canada to attend the conference and present my work.. this is substantiated from invitation letter given by the conference organisers also an endorsement letter from my institution and also flight itinerary highlighting a return ticket.. I haven’t booked the flight though
