Online status:- Still being processed.

Please post if any one in the forum who had submitted application at VFS.Jalandhar and STILL waiting for approval.

My parent's application got approved. Timelines are:
Online TRV application on 15th April.
Passport request: May 26th
Passport submitted: May 27th
Passport ready message received just now and my parents are going to collect passport on 31st May.

Congrats. for getting PPT back with visa stamped thereon.

It is observed that Chandigarh Consulate office is taking so much of time to make decision. So much so, even online application is processed the way paper files are dealt with. Ordinarily, online applications are processed within four /five working days.From your time line it is observed that it took almost one and half month to get decision.

It seems consulate office has been flooded with a large number of applications which the VOs are hard put to handle within a specified time frame. Any ways, we can do nothing about it but wait, wait and wait.

Once again, congrats.

Processing of TRV applications is awfully slow Or there is lack of resource at CHC to handle the mounting workload. There used to be time,three or four years back,when cases were decided within four/five working days.

As of now, the processing time for applications at CHC in India is shown 22 days in CIC website. In actual sense, it goes well beyond a month.Timelines of the forum members support this fact.

It really is causing problem to the applicants, as many of them may have specific purpose of travel. Delayed decision is hampering their travel plan.Airlines are making hay while the sun shines as the excess demand gives them the reason to raise their fares.

All said and done, we are left with no alternative but to wait anxiously for decision of CHC.

Did you apply online or submit paper file through CAVC ?
If later is the case, it seems unlikely that,tracking result of your application once shown in process could be cancelled.However,if you had applied online it must be through Mycic a/c.Its cancellation may have been resulted due to a technical glitch.
Please contact CIC website admin.for its restoration .

My parents applied for visitor visa from VFS Chandigarh on May 4,2016
With paper base application , still no response to pick up the passport . Can anyone share there experience for processing time, we had call to VFS office Chandigarh they said processing time between 19 days to 40 days .

Yes, it is exactly the same situation. Even email sent to Canadian Consulate has failed to evoke any response.

Time line:-

PAPER FILE SUBMITTED AT CVAC ,JALANDHAR: May 10,2016i
packet application forwarded to Visa Office Chandigarh; May 11,2016
