temporary resident permit holder from Ph. POE WP application

Hi, I recently got a Temporary resident permit valid for six months, I've got a Job offer from a company with positive LMO.
My question is do I have to apply for an actual worker visa to apply for a work permit at Vancouver which is my initial Port of entry?, or Can I just use my TRP to go to Vancouver and apply for WP there as soon as I arrive?

I'm sorry if this reply might not be helpful to you.
But you mentioned that you already got your TRP. Just want to ask how long did you have to wait for that and as a first time applicant like me, do I really have to place a huge amount of money to my savings account inorder for me to be financially eligible for a TRP?
