Temporary Permit under NAFTA -- Degree Qualifications Question

I'm an American considering applying for jobs in Canada that would fall under the "economist" profession, which is an eligible profession.

My key concern, however, is conforming to the minimum educational requirements.

For an economist, the requirement is "Baccalaureate or Licenciatura Degree".

My undergraduate degree is not in economics, but in a science. I did however take quite a bit of economics coursework in undergrad. Additionally, my master's degree is in policy, which included substantial amounts of economics coursework as well.

If I bring transcripts to document this, will these qualifications be considered? Or is the fact that the name on my degrees does not match the listed profession enough to be rejected for a temporary work permit?

Thank you!
