I will be landing in Calgary soon. I have got a Telegraphic Transfer receipt through a money changer which shows amount in Canadian dollars and I plan to show it as proof of funds. Major difference between Telegraphic Transfer and Demand Draft is that the amount is immediately transferred to the destination account, unlike demand draft in which amount is transferred when it's submitted to the bank. So my money has already been transferred to my cousin's account in Calgary at whose house I will be staying initially. I only have a detailed receipt of this transfer.
Now can anyone please shed some light if Telegraphic Transfer is acceptable at the time of landing? My money changer who made it for me says this is acceptable as many of his clients have done this in the past. But I need experts' view on it.
