Hi everyone

I have searched through and can't seem to find answers to the following question...if I am applying for FSW 2014 or some other temporary work permit coming from the UK as a British national and want to get 4 additional points by proving a level of French am I correct in thinking that I need to get CLB Level 5 across reading, listening, speaking and writing and that this is:

226 for speaking
181 for listening
151 for reading
226 for writing

I am not sure how CLB fits with the European Common Framework of DELF levels can anyone shed some light please? As I found an Alliance Francaise Teacher who teaches DELF but we are unclear as to how the Canadian Level 5 matches the Delf.....

If the 226 number for a CLB Canadian is equivalent to the TEF then that would suggest according to the above a very low level is needed by the DELF ie the equivalent of an A2 (not for Quebec but for general secondary language am aiming for Alberta)....but then found some other info that seems to suggest for 4 points it would be between a level B1 and B2?

Speaking Listening Speaking Listening Speaking Listening
C2 (DALF) C2 (DALF) 18-20 600-699 416-450 334-360 8 3
C1 (DALF) C1 (DALF) 14-17 500-599 349-415 280-333 8 3
B2 (DELF) B2 (DELF) 10-13 400-499 271-248 217-279 6 2
B1 (DELF) B2 (DELF) 6-10 300-399 181-270 145-216 4 2
A2 (DELF) A2 (DELF) 2-5 200-299 101-180 82-144 3 1
A1 (DELF) A1 (DELF) 1 100-199 34-100 28-81 1 1

CAN SOMEONE PLEASE HELP AND TELL ME A CLB LEVEL 5 IN TEF WHAT LEVEL DOES IT MATCH TO THE DELF?

I don't want to invest lots of money in private tuition if I don't stand a chance in passing....I did French A-level at school and spent 2 years in Brussels about a decade ago though I am tri-lingual with Greek/German so tend to pick up easily...I think I may be a current B1 with DELF with a bit of luck but can not be sure....

Secondly can I sit this in Canada? As I will be arriving in Toronto and then Edmonton and don't foresee being able to sit before mid October....last but not least do I need to do an IELTS General Training (again I may not have enough time to do in the UK) or do I need to do a CELPIP as there seems to be conflicting info on cic site, again if I am unable to sit on 18th October can I do this in Canada?

MANY MANY THANKS FOR THE ADVICE AND TIPS, MUCH APPRECIATED THANKS ALL :)
