Hi guys,

New NOC TEER SYSTEM will replace the NOC SKILL SYSTEM which will be implemented in fall 2022.

So my current NOC B is 6211 (Retail Sales Supervisor) which will be NOC 62010, the second digit resembles NOC B as 2 and 3.

So my question is I’ve already completed 1 year of skill experience and I’m just waiting for the draw to come. Is there any chance they can exclude NOC 62010 from express entry eligibility? Even though it falls under TEER 2 which resembles NOC B.

It's really not possible to say since the program details haven't been released yet. There's always some small chance it could happen.

If you go back a number of years (back to around 2014), NOC 6211 was not eligible for CEC and was on an exclusion list along with a few other NOC.

I personally do not think that IRCC is going to exclude this NOC since the government is looking to encourage and provide paths for applicants with Canadian work experience. I personally think it will be included.

Alright gotcha! What if I get the invitation before they release any news on that? Then it’s good to go right?

Yes, you would fall under the old rules. However keep in mind that CEC draws appear to be halted right now. There hasn't been one since Sept.
