Taxes and Sponsorship

I screwed up my husband's taxes last year and he owes $2,000 (yes, we'll go to an accountant this year). Is this going to prevent the CIC from issuing my OWP? Obviously, we're going to pay what we owe but were planning to do so when we file this year. I thought only immigration-related loans were considered when processing sponsorship applications but some posts on a recent thread have made me think otherwise.

From what I've read no, taxes owing do not affect sponsorship.
