A question from an Americans in Canada FB group ... and no one knew the answer. Any help here?

An American Citizen was living in Canada for 6 months in a permanent resident status but never had to work here and then decided to go back to the US. Does this person have any income taxes obligation to be filled in Canada?
 
Does the person still maintain residential ties in Canada? Did the person stayed in Canada for 183 days or more?
 
I don't know actually. Will the answer depend on these factors?

Yes. For example, the person will be consider deemed tax resident if stayed in Canada for 183 days or more.
 
Apparently they were here for 6 months (no clarification yet on the exact number of days), left 1.5 years ago and still has PR status.
 
Do they still have a residence, credit cards, bank accounts, car or dependent family members and other residential ties in Canada?
 
No ties to Canada. Still not clear on the exact number of days.
