I have a simple question that I can't find the answer to unfortunately. I have been a resident in Canada for 5 years. First with a student permit, then a work permit, and just last year on March 2020 I became a PR. I have filed my taxes every year with my work permit, and have not left Canada but I know I had to "enter" Canada as part of my PR process and in turn my SIN also changed.
Does this mean that I technically "became a resident of Canada (immigrate) for tax purposes in 2020" and my date of entry would be the day I "entered" Canada for my PR?
