I restored my study permit in August 2025, and it’s valid until March 2027. i am currently not allowed to work but have valid status as a student. My main program ( graduate certificate) will start in January 2026 and end in august 2026.
Since I have a few free months now, I’m thinking of taking a short PSW course (less than 6 months) just to have a backup plan.
My questions are:

- Am I allowed to take a short-term course like this before my main program begins?
- Will this affect my PGWP eligibility later (I only plan to apply for PGWP after finishing my graduate program)?
