Taking a long time to get a response / spouse sponsorship

I am new on here and i am from canada , i married a chinese and we mailed our sponsorship spouse papers and all to Canada , it was june 9th we mailed and its now august 3rd and we still have no contact or response from them at all .
Is there a new law that says we have to wait 2 years before my wife can go to canada ..... >>

How can we go see my family so she can meet my parents soon as possible ？

Your application is not taking a long time - what you are experiencing is normal. It takes around 2 months to hear something once CIC has recieved your application. So you should hear something next week or the following week.

No - there is no 2 year law.

Your wife can try applying for a TRV.

Another question . is there a way i can contact cic to change where my mail went to?
i made a mistake and put mississauga ontario instead of NS . i am currently in china with my wife who is chinese .
How can i ask them to send it to NS or do i have to wait for them to mail it back to beijing ?
this was originally what my question i wanted to ask .

They will either redirect your package automatically or return it to you.
