I sent my Permanent Residence application with my CSQ and supporting documents to the Sydney Office on July 2016 (applied from Brazil). In November I received my AOR. No news since then.

I keep reading posts about the Visa Offices and I have a doubt: did I send my application to the right office or should I've sent it to the Brazil Office? The fact that I already have an AOR means that I sent it to the right place and I shouldn't worry about it?

Sydney is central collection office from there it is transferred to respective VO based on your current residence ...Did you received any notification about file transfer of your case .. better check with CIC agent ..call them and they should be able to help you with it..

I never got anything after the AOR (4 months ago). When the transfer is done it is shown in myCIC?

Already sent 2 email, but never got a reply, and I can't call them because the number is exclusive for calls from within Canada...

The transfer does not show under myCIC however ECAS might show a start of processing date which is an indication that the file has been transferred to a local VO. The local VO in your case might be Sao Paulo based on your residence however it is not the rule. Files are distributed based on VO load.

Although 4 months is a long time, I have seen cases where it has been more than 13 months since the AOR date.

Thanks for clarifying that for me cmack. Indeed, the ECAS informs that they started analyzing my file on December 21st. Now I understand that it is the VO that makes the analysis.

My worse fear is that something goes wrong during the procedure and I just sit back and watch thinking "that's how it works". Had a terrible experience during a citizenship procedure where it got delayed for 8 months because the lady from the Consulate didn't bother to properly xerox my passport... Ended up missing a job opportunity because of it... So I get a little tense when procedures go into a halt..lol.

Thanks again.
