Hello everyone,
I’m kindly seeking guidance from this wonderful forum.
I am sponsoring my mother under the outland family sponsorship stream. She has already completed her biometrics, and we are now waiting for the medical request.
She currently holds a valid 10-year visitor visa and we would like her to visit us in Canada as soon as possible and live with us while the sponsorship is processed.
My questions are:
1. Is it possible for her to do the required medical examination in Canada once she arrives as a visitor?
2. Can we request IRCC to switch her application from outland to inland sponsorship while she is here, so that we can avoid the extra steps involved in sending her passport abroad for visa stamping and related processes?
Any advice, experiences, or suggestions from those who have been through a similar situation would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you in advance!
