Hi all does it affect who applied already for TWP in food industry?I heard canadian government suspended the temperory foriegn workers related in food industry.

I applied this April16 as a chef in British Columbia,My employers wants me to be there soon.But recently bad situation......./where are you now>>>

Apparently all FOOD SECTOR has been affected with this new announcement.
If you have not received your letter of approval for Work Permit then it is likely to be rejected.

I believe you are good to go.
Your permit will be issued at the POE.
Please ensure you bring with you the following:
- Approval Letter from the Embassy
- Letter of Employment/Contract of Employment

If you mean, those that have been submitted but pending approval will likely be rejected.

I submitted my application on 16th of April and they forwarded to Canadian Embassy on 21 April.So i mean they will process my application or hold it,

just to inform you guys sad to say but ALL of the applicants whether you submitted it already or will submit the application to the embassy even your waiting for couple of months will be suspeneded or freeze in issuing visa and LMO sad to say but this applies to ALL food related applicants

e.g

Cook or Chef
Food counter attendant
Waiter
Bar
kitchen helper

anything related to food industry

i applied for wharehouse accountant at winnipeg MB. my NOC 1431. India Spice House is grosery store selling all asian and african brands.
just want to ask :am i fall under suspension category?
