Hi,

You will need the SIN number to start working in Canada and you can get that the day you arrive in Canada. From survival job you cant live like a king but it is enough to cover your living expenses and keep your savings aside. People who are already in Canada are saying that there are lots of survival jobs but its not easy to get them straightaway so it will take some time to get a job.
