Surname blank in passport

Hello All

My sis have to apply for express entry but i have Q regarding surname

Her paspport and Birth certificate dont have surname its blank but when filling application for express entry it ask for surname so what should she mention

there

Given Name = Pardeep Kaur
Last name= blank

she has to claim point under relative (Brother ) in Canada

For Brother Last name is mentioned in Brother 's documents
any help is greatly appreciated

Hi. Surname, otherwise called Last name is the most important part of a name. If your processing starts, one of the data Canada will need is the last name. Why don't you make her records straight by letting her adopt your surname. Re-new her passport and go to your population commission and let them issue her a new Birth Certificate in exchange for the old one without surname. The computer does not recognize Blank as a name. Even even your surname is 'Ai' or 'Po' its still a name.
