Supporting Docs for Visit Visa

Hi Guys
I am applying for a visit visa based on an invitation by my son, who is a permanent resident of Canada.
I have been asked by IRCC to upload the following documents.
Supporting Documents:
- National Identity document
- passport or travel document

Optional Documents:
- Consent Personal information
- Employers letter (Current)
- Additional documents

My question is, Why haven't I been asked to upload LETTER OF INVITATION and PROOF OF FUNDS
Also, why am I required to upload EMPLOYER LETTER as my recent job status in the application is UNEMPLOYED.

Need help in this regard

You need to upload proof of your funds. If not employed don’t submit anything. Proof of other ties to your home country like proof of home ownership or rental agreement should also be included.

You can include letter and funds under optional. Employment letter show ties to return as you need to show that you will return home.

Additional documents. Letter should say that you are covering all expenses.
