I have the same question; how do you know when to book return flights when completing TRV forms? What if there is a delay or something? Dates?

It is the other way around, you should know what are you return flight dates whenever completing TRV forms, not the other way around.

Again, I said "if you have any". If you don't have any return flight then don't put it.
