You can certainly apply for super visas while their TRVs are still valid, but they need to apply to a visa office outside Canada, preferably their home country

They cannot apply for super visas in-Canada. They can only apply to extend their visitor status on their TRV entry

Hello,

My name is Romina and I would really appreciate your advice.
My mother has been in Canada many times with her visitor visa which just expired because her passport expired after 2 years. I would like to apply for super visa as I really need her to stay here for 1 year at least.

As she applied for visitor visa 2 years ago , do we need to get her fingerprints done again?

I will be applying for her super visa in a week.
I have gathered the below documents:
a)
1- Her Application
2- Family information form
3- Passport Copy
4- Travel History Copy
5- Her Bank Statement ( not much funds in her account)
6- Her Marriage Certificate
7- Her letter why she is travelling to Canada
8- A certified copy of her retirement money she is getting from state
But she does not have assets.

b)
1- My T4
2- My employment letter
3- My family certificate where my mother is part of in Albania
4- Insurance for 1 year
5- Invitation letter for her

I am also submitting her medicals in advance.

Can you please help me if I am missing anything and
1- Do I need to submit Payment Stubs
How long does this take? She needs to be here in 2,5 months to take care of my baby while I work.

Yea she needs to give her biometrics even if she had still valid biometrics as they were given for visitor visa .CIC rule says so

I believe they would need their own account they cannot do it through yours. But, you can apply online and fill out the forms for them. They would need to have a way they can scan the documents to you.
We actually had an agent in Canada that helped us, my inlaws in India sent him their documents.

Thanks. Would I need them to sign a Use of representative form to authorize me to complete their application?
How does the biometrics work in that case if I apply on their behalf in Canada?

Hello Seniors
I want to apply supervisa for my mother. But my mother`s passport will expire in 2022. So does that mean my mother will only get the visa for two years? Also we have her upfront medical with the old passport number. Can I renew the passport and change the passport number on the present valid medical or does my mother have to go through getting her medicals again?

Hi! So for example if one has a trv and supervisa, upon arrival at the airport they just show their supervisa and mention that they wanna use the supervisa?

*Wondering how this goes as the border officer would see a trv and supervisa on the person's file. Or do we ask for the trv to be cancelled once supervisa is secured?
