Applied on September 4th for my mother from Pakistan. We received the BIL on the same day and she completed her biometrics on September 11th. However, the tracker still hasn’t been updated; it only shows “Biometrics Enrolled” as of September 11th.

Only the background check is in process, but there has been no other update since the application was submitted. It has now been more than a month. Has anyone else experienced the same thing?

Even I haven’t received any update. I completed the upfront medical, but still received a medical request afterward. I raised a webform as well and am still waiting for an update.

Today, I submitted another webform to ask whether my previous medical exam can be linked to my application or if I need to complete a new one as requested, since the 30-day deadline is approaching.

Hi everyone,

I have applied for my mother's Canadian Super Visa, but during her medical examination, some spots were found on her chest X-ray.

The medical officials informed us that she needs to provide a sputum (mucus) sample tomorrow. They will send the test report to IRCC, which may take approximately 15 days.

They also told us that my mother needs to be examined by a doctor recommended by them and return after three months for another chest X-ray. According to them, her medical examination will not be cleared until the follow-up X-ray is completed.

My mother has no symptoms and is feeling completely fine, so this situation has made me quite worried.

Could anyone please share their experience if they or their family members have gone through a similar situation during a Canadian Super Visa medical examination?

  1. Is this something to be seriously concerned about?
  2. If the sputum test comes back negative, is there any possibility that IRCC could clear her medical earlier, or will she still have to wait three months for another X-ray?
  3. Has anyone experienced a similar situation, and what was the outcome of their application?
I would really appreciate any advice or personal experiences. Thank you in advance

1. Don't know her medical history but could have had TB
2. TB is serious so expect IRCC to wait until X-ray is clear.
3. If she had TB in the past then her medical should pass but only after X-ray.

My in-laws were asked to do the Sputum test & a follow-up with the chest specialist referred by the IOM, after which their medical got cleared & SuperVisa was approved. Hope for the best! :)
