Hi All

I would like to sponsor my parents (Father and Mother) for Supervisa but I have few questions regarding the financial requirements. I will give a little background to help with the situation.

I was in USA working when I got my Canadian PR. I landed in Aug 2015 but continued working in USA until Aug 2017 (few visits (3-15 days every few months). I moved here in July 2017 but still haven't found a job in my field. In meantime I am doing a Marketing job (min Wage), Uber (Min wage). I have earned between $1500 to $2500 in the last 9 months here in Canada. In USA I made above good money and since I worked till Aug I made more the Supervisa income requirement threshold. Now to the questions -

1) Per the income threshold table, the minimum income to support 2 dependents is $32,000, Can I show my 's last year's income tax return, or do they only consider my current income?
2) My current income of $1500 to $2500 (I only work part time due to applying for jobs) can be increased if I work more hourly in Uber or Marketing. If I increase and make more than say $4000 a month (going above $32k threshold) would this help me get qualified?
3) My parents get good rental and Banking deposit interest income equivalent to about $4500 a month, can this be used to qualify and not solely rely on my income?
4) Can we show a lump sum amount in either bank accounts to qualify for SuperVisa?

I appreciate your time and patience in answering these questions.

Thanks in advance

Hi

1. You cannot use your previous US income.

2. Since you don't qualify with your current income, yes, increasing your income will help.

3. You can't use your parents income/savings.

4. No.

Thanks appreciate your answers.

Lastly, If you know Uber's operating model .. I am only a contractor (sole proprietor), so can I just show weekly/monthly earnings ?

Can I apply a normal visitor visa without the minimum income threshold for the sponsor ?

Thanks

No, you cannot. Also, earnings based on a speculative increase won't work.

That would probably be a better option in your case. Your parents must prove they are short stay visitors, ideally 3-4 weeks max
