Hi everyone,

I have a question about the supervisa. I am currently sponsoring my mom under the family sponsorship, but it has been like 5 years wait~~ So can I apply supervisa while I am sponsoring my mom at the same time? Will my supervisa application affect/delay the family sponsorship case?

Also, my mom has no income/job/property, so will it be likely the supervisa application will be refused?

Can anyone help me about this? Thanks a lot!!

Yes - you can certainly apply for a super visa. It won't harm the PR application. (However there is no guarantee the super visa will be approved.)

I don't think Canadian Immigration is considering parent immigration at this point in time therefore they open the super visa category for parent and grand parent. In my opinion, i don't see any issue to apply a super visa if you fulfill the LICO (Low Income Cut-off) requirement.

Read the OP's post more closely. He sponsored his mother five years ago.

I have a question regarding supervisa documents checklist.

On the checklist there is no mention that parents need to submit a copy of pr card of their child.

Is it required to be submitted with the application.
