Hi all,

We are only 2 children of our parents, me and my sister, and recently we both have moved to canada and working here above LICO. I want to apply supervisa for my parents and have doubts that it might get rejected for having low/less ties of my parents to our homeland as both the children are in Canada already.

Is it wise to show tenure of my parent's visit to canada for a year? I am already planning to submit following documents to ensure their ties to Pakistan (homeland).

1. Approved vacations letter from my dad's employer
2. Dad's property in Pakistan
3. Mom's property in Pakistan
4. Dependency of my dad's sister on him due to health conditions i.e. she is a widow and lives with my dad and mom
5. Show funds in my dad's bank account and his provident fund due with his company which he will leave there to be collected later.
6. My mom works in a school in Pakistan so she can manage to get a on-job experience letter.

Any further advises to improve our success rate for our supervisa application?

Thanks,
Murtaza

If your parents are still working why not apply for a TRV? Supervisa is really meant for longer stays not really vacations from work.

I want to go through the process only once, so that if my parents decide to stay longer upto 2 years they can do it.

1. Will your dad's employer issue a letter allowing him to take time off from work for one year or more? If yes then your dad's employment is not a strong tie. The same applies to your mom's employment.

2. Can your aunt (your dad's sister) take care of herself for one year if your parents are away? In other words, she is not a family tie for a super visa.

3. Normally provident fund can be withdrawn only on retirement or within X months of resigning from a job if someone does not work anywhere else. Not sure if this is the case in Pakistan as well. But, if it is then your dad's PF is not a strong tie to return to.

4. Most important questions for their super visa applications:
a. Do you or your sister independently meet LICO? You cannot combine your income with your sister's income to prove you meet LICO.

b. Do you have at least one recent NOA?

Anyone looking at this thread now. Super Visa doesn't require to show strong tied to home country. My father was retired and had no ties to my home country. I was able to get his supervisa without any issue

Thats fine and great it worked for your father but obviously doesnt mean will work for everyone as every application is different and should be as convincing as possible. If someone can show ties they should do so , if not then take their chances with other supporting information.

One mustn’t generalize when it comes to visas being issued
