I am applying for a super visa for my father. He came to Canada on a simple visitor visa in November 2021 and applied for an extension, while his application was in processing he stayed in Canada till October 2023.
Now, I want to apply for his super visa, and I am writing the following response to one question in the application:
Question: Have you ever stayed in Canada beyond the validity of your status?
Answer: "Yes, in November 2021 I came to Canada on a visitor visa and applied for an extension. While my application was in process, I stayed here till October 2023. "
Is this a reasonable response?

Did he get approved for the extension until October 2023? Would add that if he only returned in October I would wait at least a few months to apply for a supervisa or else it could appear if he is trying to live in Canada and only going on a short vacation in his home country.

Yes, my father got three visa extensions.

Then he didn't say beyond the validity of his visa.

Given the fact that he got 3 extensions along with returning very recently I would suggest postponing his supervisa application for at least a few months. If he applies now it appears as if he is trying to live in Canada.
