Hi,

My parents have a valid Supervisa. They came here in 2016 and went back to home country in 2018. When they came here in 2016 their passports were stamped for two years at the port of entry. Now, I want my parents to visit me in Canada again but only for 4 months.
1- Can they travel on the their same Supervisa that they already have in their passports for short duration or do they need to apply for visitor visa.?
2- Do they need insurance again, if they are coming for only 4 months on their Supervisa sticker in their passport?
3- If they decide to come to stay for 2 years again anytime in future, do they need insurance every time when they travel.

If anybody can clarify, your help will be much appreciated.
Thnx

Of course they need insurance. God forbid if anything happens and they require medical care in Canada , and end up in the hospital, the costs would be catastrophic.
They would be categorized as uninsured visitors
Who would pay their medical costs ?

If they travel on a supervisa they must take out supervisa insurance no matter how long they plan on staying. It is not a good idea to travel without travel insurance even if they were traveling on a regular TRV.
