Super visa

I have applied for a parents/grandparents super visa and even though they accepted my application and I payed the complete fees , passed medical tests and made the medical insurance for a year , I have received a visa valid for less than 6 months!
18-08-2015 until 15-02-2015

I am wondering why or whether i'll receive an extension once I land?l

Note : my passport doesn't expire until 10 years

p.s:any ideas who I can contact once in canada to verify the reason for this?

you will recieve an extension since you applied for super visa. My mum was issued a 6 month visa too but got 2 years stay at the point of entry.
