I am planning to apply Super Visa for my parents. When they went for UPFRONT medical tests, they asked my dad to take Sputum test for which the results come after 8 weeks and he has to go for a chest x-ray again on April 28. I have not started the online application at all so far, just went for the medicals. I have 3 months time before I get results and apply for Super Visa.
In the meantime, can I apply for Temporary visitor visa?? Would the medical tests impact the Temporary Visitor visa?
Their temporary visitor visa got rejected 3 times prior to this.

Any help/information is greatly appreciated!

Thanks!

TB testing or a medical can be requested for a TRV as well. Applying for another TRV with 3 previous refusals is not a great idea especially if they are all in the past few years. You are just highlighting that they are desperate to travel to Canada.

Thanks for your reply!
First time rejected in 2019, covid time and lot of rejections at the time. Second time applied 2024 Jan and then in May. All the rejections, it’s the generic rejection reasons. Even the GCMS notes did give much info.
We are Canadian Citizens, showed funds 15L in India and 20+K in Canada. They have ties back in home. Not sure why they are rejecting.. ☹️
It’s my dream to get them here and show them around but no luck so far.
So, you suggest to apply for Super Visa after the Medical’s??

What are the generic reasons with 3 refusals? What are their ties back home. How much in Canadian did they each show? How long was visit.

They need to show minimum $10k cash each for a 2-3 week visit, job letter with approved leave/minor children/business/ income property for ties and strong travel history.

If you've done the medical through an IRCC appointed physician and told them it's for IRCC, they (iRCC) already have the results and have probably requested the additional testing. Applying for a TRV probably wouldn't change the medical requirements at this point.

We planned the travel for 5 weeks
Showed funds 20K in Canada and 13L in India
My father is a farmer and he has to take care of the all the agricultural works. I have my brothers family back home.
They have travel history to UK.

1. Funds: Not enough for 5 weeks plus long visit. How can they show funds in Canada? Your funds are not relevant. $10k cash per person minimum in their personal bank accounts. Show enough not to use all their savings. Visit for 2 weeks.
2. No family to return to - ties are children under 22/minors, adult child in Canada
3. Both need to show ties to return, not just father. If a farmer show business, taxes etc.

This is about them showing they have absolute ties to return. Consider applying for just your dad if your mother doesn't have a job or vice versa.

What is going to change with another TRV application?
