Are you sure it was a "super" visa that was issued rather than an ordinary multiple entry TRV? If it was a super visa, then can be admitted as a visitor for 2 years.

Thanks PMM,

Yes it is super visa for 3 years (multiple visa). and it is for 6 month time to live in Canada.

So it is important to get round trip ticket?

You are confused.
Super Visa 2 year multiple entry visa
Visitors Visa up to 6 month

Some Supervisa users are given only 6 months at the airport, happened to few ppl

I have never seen this but I do know the visa will not be issued beyond the passports expiry date. Secondly at the airport they do not grant approval for visa's, this is done in prior to one entering Canada. The super visa program does not discriminate based on the country of origin it is the same for all regardless. I personally know some countries only give passports for five years such as Iran and the super visa when issued coincides with the expiry of the passport. This is not a Canadian policy this is due to the fact that a visa cannot be issued for an expired passport.

My mom in law is granted a 5 years multiple entry super visa, she arrived in Canada last Dec. 2012 but the immigration officer did not indicate the maximum months she could stay. For how long she could stay with us here in Canada? Do we need to verify the CIC regarding the no date indicated in her passport?

6 months. No need to verify with CIC.

It's a Super Visa, they said a super visa holder could stay in Canada for 2 years...And the visitor visa is allowed up to 6 months...I'm confused..

When no stamp = 6 months, should have stamped for 2 years Now when the six months end, apply for 2 year extension showing that you have supervisa and were never granted years. There have been other cases that supervisa holder gets only 6 months, not sure if it's a mistake or on purpose but one of the reasons I read somewhere that the system never showed they passed meds so they give 6 months, not sure how true this is

Hi all,

i have a question regarding itinerary/return ticket for super visa application.

As per the checklist we need to enclose itinerary and/or return tickets too, would it be sufficient if i just get an itinerary from a travel agent and enclose it or in addition to it should i also enclose an itinerary created by myself in MS Word showing the dates of arrival, stay and departure?
What did you submit for your parents' application for the approval?

Many Thanks,
ASJ

Actually you don't need to purchase or enclose a return ticket with the application. The problem is a super visa is a two year visa there is no airline that will give you return airfare beyond twelve month, you will just be wasting money. What you can do is request a letter from the CIC office stating that you don't require return airfare. However if the intended visit is for less than a year than yes you can include return airfare but this is optional not mandatory.

Please note this is only applicable for a Super Visa not a Visitor Visa for visits of up to six month.

Hello,

I have a question regarding my parents' super visa. They applied to New Delhi VAC on July 18th 2014 i.e. today.
In the VISA application they have mentioned their date of coming to Canada as 15 Aug 2014.

The VAC representative checked all the documents and was happy that all are in place but she also told my parents that the supervisa processing time is 8 weeks and the date 15th Aug 2014 is not even 4 weeks away. She suggested my parents to write an email to delhi-im-enquiry@international.gc.ca requesting the immigration/visa officer to grant visa before 15th Aug 2014.

It is me who actually helped my parents gather & and fill all documents/forms after taking help from forums on CanadaVisa.com and before applying i even checked for the processing time for TRV -Supervisa on www.cic.gc.ca which is just 9 days for New Delhi. Please refer http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/times/temp/visitors.asp#asia

But she also accepted the VISA application.

Please let me know:

1. Should my parents actually write email as suggested by the VAC representative?
2. If they write or do not write email, in such circumstances can the VISA officer reject/refuse the VISA or he will grant the visa for a later date (provided all other conditions are met)?

Your replies would be much appreciated.

Please suggest.

Thanks,
ASJ
