Hi, I am confused about this super visa multi entry thing, i see people saying its a 2 year multi entry, I thought it was 10 years and what does it mean when it says multi-entry? that the parent can enter and leave anytime within 2 years or 10 years?

Gary

The Super Visa allows your parents to STAY in canada for 2 years without having to leave the country after 6 months. The visa validity will be longer than 2 years for sure

so your saying within the first 6 months when she arrives she cannot leave the country?

Gary

No, let me elaborate for you

Visitors visa : The MAXIMUM time someone can stay on this visa is 6 months in an year per visit. They can leave anytime they want. It can be extended, depending upon circumstances

Super Visa : The MAXIMUM time someone can stay on this visa is 2 years per visit. They can leave anytime they want.
