Hi my mom is here under supervisa since 2013 her visa and passport are soon to be expired aug 2017 my plan is to renew the passport in calgary then apply for extension of visa but when i called cic they said my mom need to exit canada and apply visa in her home country. But when i spoke to a lawyer he said yes i can apply for extension within canada . I need an advice if any of you has been in this same situation.

Super visas can't be applied for inside Canada. You'd have to mail it to the US (going by what Jalex said in another thread). Also, visas cannot be extended, you have to apply for a new one.

Perhaps your lawyer was talking about an extension of your mother's stay, which can be applied from within Canada.

Thank you ! Just wondering if you know the website of that vpc or even what is it stand for i will try to search more about it

If your intention is to let your mom stay in Canada longer, applying for a new super visa is not the answer.

Yes i wanted her to stay here permanently but i was not the lucky to get selected for that raffle draw to sponsor this year. The letter i got was basically saying better luck next time.

Either you don't understand my point, or I don't understand your problem. I wasn't referring to sponsoring her permanently, but extending her stay if she is currently in Canada. The new super visa won't help to extend her stay, but I still don't understand from any of your posts what exactly you want to do immediately.

Oh i am sorry for the confusion. Yes i would like to find a way to make my mom stay here in canada longer .(even 6months longer, for personal reason )without going backhome my problem is both passport and visa are expired and as i was reading some of the post ,some advice said i have to mail a new application to vpc visa processing centre (finally found out what vpc stand for) if this explanation is still dont make sense I apologize for not constructing a good grammar .i appreciate all ypur comments in trying to help me find a solution though.

So if applying for another super visa is not the answer. Do you know any other way ? Im just trying to see all my options here. Thank u

Your lawyer said it, and I already mentioned it in my first reply to you, and again in the previous one: you apply for an extension of her visitor status in Canada.

If her passport will expire in 3 months and you want her to stay for another 6 months, you would have to go to her home country's consulate/embassy nearest to you to renew (or extend) it for when she would have to travel out of Canada.
