SUPER VISA - BIOMETRIC REQUIREMENT

Hello,
I applied for my parents super visa in 2018 and go their visa approved. During that time there was no requirement for biometrics.
They are planning to come to Canada this year.
Do they have to apply for Biometrics now???
Please guide.

If they have never had biometrics then yes they need it done.
