Good evening
I have a few questions about the supervisa application applied for my mother on march 15, 2020. Got biometric on 16 March 2020 and after that lockdown due to covid just ruined everything. Waited quite a while to get an appointment for supervisa for biometrics. Got an appointment in OCT 2021 biometric was done and updated online. Since then no response not even a single update. I am thinking of withdrawing and applying for a new supervisa on the new portal online. The problem is my mother's passport will expire in Dec 2022.
1. If I put in a request to renew the passport will they consider the old biometric or will my mother get a new biometric request ?
2. Was anyone in the same boat?
3. I have not withdrawn my old application but probably no use to wait for the medical expired for sure on the previous application. I have tried sending multiple inquiries in webform but never got a reply. any suggestions as to what to do with the old application?
4. Should I withdraw the old one before applying for the new one?

Thank you again

You need to withdraw and send in a new application. As of September people were instructed to withdraw and resubmit.

Thank you yes I have withdrawn the old one. Just wanted to know what about the biometric? When I apply for new application with renewed passport will my mother had to do another biometric? Any way to avoid that ? Thank you again for the reply

Biometrics are valid for 10 years
