Hello Everyone,

I am Tarun Keshav and I would like to get a few suggestions for my current situation. I and my wife are planning to move to Canada with the best option. I would like to update my wife as a primary applicant as she has got 6 Years of experience as a Lead analyst but the CRS score is 390 only( Assuming IELTS as 8777). So we just want to know what are the chances for PNP.

2) We are also ready to move with Student Visa but we have a doubt here. Can I apply for as a dependent on the same time or once she is moved to Canada

Will I get the work permit when I get the visa?

You can apply for a spousal open work permit at the same time as your wife application for the study permit. If both are approved, you can then travel to Canada together. There is unfortunately no guaranteed the SOWP will be approved if your wife's study permit is approved. I would recommend that you read through discussions in the International Students section of the forum to find out how to put together a strong application for both.

It will be difficult to be selected for PR with a score of only 390 and it makes sense to try to increase your score.

Good luck.

Thanks for the suggestion. But what if I apply for a sowp after my wife starts her study there. Are there any chances that i would be getting in the next 3-6months

SOWP are never guaranteed for spouses of international students. Processing times are closer to 6+ months these days.
