Suggestion required - please help on Change of Visa Post at the Final Stage

Hello All :

I got an email from the Canadian Visa office (Los Angeles) that my immigration processing has been completed and they have requested me to submit my passports, photos and right of permanent residence fee within 15 days.

I was living in the US and during that time I had applied for Canada Immigration, so my visa office was Los Angeles. Now I have moved to India, so what are the options I have to submit my documents ?

1. Is it possible for me to transfer my visa office from LA to New Delhi ?
2. Do I have to send my documents to LA ?

Anyone who has experience in this situation or any suggestions will be appreciated. Thanks in advance for your help.

2. Yes, and since it is illegal to mail/courier passport in/out of India, you will either have to take them yourself or have authorize someone to do it for you. And do the same for the return. CHC will not mail passports to India.

2. Do I have to send my documents to LA ?You cannot send Indian passports outside India...it is illegal. Other things can be sent. You have to hand deliver your passports in person or authorise someone hand deliver to VO. Passports will be returned only to US address....VO will not mail PP to India.

I would suggest you to inform VO immediately and request for more time. PLEASE remember it is ILLEGAL to send or receive Indian Passports in or outside of India. Applicants have had their Passports seized at Customs....you may be fined (Rs 50,000, jailed for 2yrs or both for this offence).
