Yes we did provide them pictures in our application but the thing is they questioned it because most of our pictures before we kinda take pictures of each other, you know how hard to take pictures together right?.. So they questioned why are we not together on the picture (Which for me is a dumb question) we were obviously on the same location (same weather, same background) so on the submission we sent to Cic _Edmonton, we sent a LOT as in a LOT. me and him on the picture and with friends and family. we actually bought a tripod :) lol

did they transfer your file to the local office?

not yet, its way too early I think.
We sent quiet a lot of photos too, with family and friends and together, but I understand what you are saying, it was hard to pick since 80% of the pics we have at home are us taking pictures of each other.

go figure, cic logic ???
I kinda assumed that age gap would be a red flag, but you confirmed it for me
I guess I better start preparing then :P

This is the email we received. I sent in both notice of assessment and option c. Even though there the same thing I wanted to make sure I had everything.

This refers to your application for Permanent Residence in Canada. To continue with the processing of your application, you are kindly requested to attend an interview at the new office of the Honorary Consulate of Canada, Tirana, at the following time:

Day: Friday Date: 22 November 2013 Time: 08.00

Please bring this letter, your passport and the following documents:

- Notification Of Assessment for 2012 for sponsor

This will be a selection interview, therefore the invitation does not guarantee that your application for permanent residence will be approved. Do not make any arrangements to sell your property at this time.

Another odd thing is I checked my ecas today and it says interview scheduled for November 21!!! The email says November 22

As CdnandTrini has said, it's very rare for someone to be denied due to a sponsor's income AFTER the sponsor has already been approved UNLESS the sponsor all of a sudden declared bankruptcy, or owed a bunch of tax or something weird like that.
However, I have heard of one case where a couple was denied at interview because they could not show enough funds together to land in Canada properly (ie. enough for flights for both, enough for rent for a couple months, etc). This is rare, but it could happen. So you don't have to have a huge income and you've already been approved as a sponsor, just make sure you have enough funds to land or be able to explain how you can afford to land in Canada.
Also, they could ask for tax assessments, etc to check to see if you filed as a married couple. Claiming your husband/wife on your taxes yearly etc shows a genuine relationship that you're to hiding. I doubt you would be denied if you didn't declare your spouse, as many people are confused on how to even do this, but it could be checking that out as well.

Good luck!

My income has gotten better this year so I can prove that. I haven't filed bankruptcy and never have I been on social assistance. I haven't filed taxes with him as my spouse because he is not yet a PR. we can't even get a joint bank account yet. He has no income though. But I have the money to get him here and it would benefit me just having him here even if it's difficult at first for him to get a job.

I've finally calmed down a bit and starting to hope for the best as we do have a genuine loving marriage.

Thanks for your response. It's nice to hear positive things. I'm much more confident now :)

Hi guys,

Reading all the comments about age being the main reason people get called for an interview , my husband and I have never been marry before & no kids this is our first marriage and last one . I believe it might be cuz our age.. we been together since high school I used to live in Canada that’s how we meet but we are both 19 years old do you believe our age could been a reason on why I am being called for an interview ? lol seriously they should tell us not to apply if we are certain age haha

Hi Frida19, I believe what most people are referring to here is a "big age difference" between the couple, not so much if they are both closer in age like you and your husband. Even though it happens every day around the world that people of different ages, backgrounds, educations, races, religions, etc. meet, fall in love and marry, immigration may view this as possible grounds for a non-genuine relationship. That is how the system works. Blessings.
