Hello,

I have my IELTS test result from 2011 and planning to take another one tomorrow. Can i submit my application with the old results along with a letter explaining the urgency and situation. Will send the results separately in 2 weeks after i receive them.

Has anyone had any experience with this?? Not sure if the CIO will keep my application or send it back stating incomplete...

Thanks,
IJ

If you apply for FSW with IELTS results from 2011 then your application will be returned to you as incomplete. You must include valid IELTS results with your original application. You cannot send the IELTS results later.

Not only it's "incomplete" - you're risking a chance of being refused since sending an expired IELTS is like not sending one at all. and failure to meet the requirements on CIC's checklist might/will results in a refusal

Hello there!

My question is somewhat related to the inquiry. Which date is considered to be the 2 year anniversary of the IELTS..is it the test date ex: speaking - June 6, 2012 ; rest of the tests - June 9, 2012...or the result printed on the Test Result Form - June 21, 2012? so does that mean expiration of the language test is June 6, 2014; June 9, 2014..or June 21, 2014?

Thank u.

From CIC:
"Your test results must be less than two years old when you apply."

Use the date at the bottom of your results paper next to "test report form number"

*Update Update Update*

Called CIC 3 times and got lucky the 3rd time.

Reason for rejection is: Language Test Results had expired

My IELTS was due to expire on 25th of May 2014 and my application reached CIC on 9th of May 2014. Then where is the issue. The document checklist states:

Note: Language test results must not be older than two years on date of receipt at CIO.

WTF just happened?

Is there a way I can question CIC ? Sue them for harassment ?

PS - I have rechecked, my IELTS was due to expire on 25th May 2014 only
